Obama and the Chesapeake Primaries

And the winner is... BARACK OBAMA on all three fronts. Who would've guessed all three states were extremely pro Obama? I sure didn't. Personally, I'm a Clinton girl. I just really want Bill back in the White House. The two Clintons working hand-in-hand, which has never happened before (oh, wait. That's right. There was that whole eight years thing). The thing that bugs me about Obama is his over-enthusiastic idealism. I'm just waiting for him to announce his new "Every Child Gets A Puppy" Act with the accompanying "Save The Leprechauns" bill. He doesn't seem to be able to carry through what he promises. Clinton struggles a bit with that herself, but at least we know who she's going to appoint to various jobs. We don't really know so much about Barack. I don't know, I suppose a part of me doesn't trust him.

I wonder how the Chesapeake Primaries are going to affect this whole ordeal. Is it November yet?

Daily Question: How do you think the recent primaries are going to affect the political goings-on?

It's Only The Beginning...

Hello good people of... wherever you're reading this from! I hope I find you well. My name is Blue State Girl, and I'm a sixteen-year-old junior at a teeny-tiny private school. I created this journal as a project that doesn't have much to do with school, but rather my own mental health. I recently attended a program in sunny California that was all about politics and the government. Honestly, before this I was interested in anything BUT politics. It seemed like it barely affected me. However, this doesn't mean that I wouldn't vote (if I were one measly year older), because I most definitely would. It's just that I had more important things to worry about like doing well in school and obsessing over getting into college and whatnot (I bet you thought I was going to say something completely shallow. Have some faith!). After this trip, though, my eyes have been opened! I actually care about what's going on in this country I live in. Thus, this journal is born.

In each post, I will discuss an aspect about what's going on currently in the wonderful world of politics. I will also leave a question for ANY of you to answer. However, please be kind and don't bash me or anyone else who posts. I may be sixteen, but I do have some insight on what's going on. Also, it's the young voters who are really starting to count! However, this post is going to be question-free. I'm just introducing myself and this journal.

Well, I suppose I could supply a very simple and broad question: Which candidate do you support and why?
